Today another awesome board game that has been digitized for use mobile users. Uwe Rosenberg’s Patchwork is now available for both Android and iOS users. (Download links below).

In this game you need to make a 7×7 blanket with scraps of fabrics. You want to create a blanket with the least amount of holes and lots of buttons, since buttons improve your score.  The screen is broken into two components- the one of the left is the turn indicator and on the right is your blanket. One each turn, you will purchase a scrap and then arrange it on your blanket template.

The game is pretty quick to pick up but there is a tutorial if you need it. The game is nicely designed and comes with a clean interface. I tried it on my iPad for this review.
The game has three game types:
  • Ranked game – online
  • Casual game – online or vs computer
  • Local game – vs computer or pass and play
and three difficulty settings: easy, medium, or hard mode when playing against the AI.
There is not a lot more I can say. It is a fun and easy to learn game that is great for the whole family. I have not tried the offline version of this game but it looks just as fun. So if you need a game for your Android and iOS devices that is apparent for all ages, then Patchwork is a great investment.
