The story: the Ivory Tower is being overrun by hordes of students. It’s your job to protect it using your Ivory Tower Defenders: the TA, ABD, Assistant Professor, Professor, and Dean. The students you face are Slackers, Hackers, Artists, Athletes, and Straight As. Each has a unique personality and seating preference. As students take their seats, your Defenders fling blue books and dissertations to try to stop them.
The game takes place at school and you start out as a Freshman. To graduate to the next grade, you need to get a C or better. In addition to the other grades you can play normal or honors! Within the school there are locations: the Lecture Hall, Library, Seminar Room, and Graduation Ceremony.
To stop the students you need to place the teachers, etc around the room. As you progress you will earn money, which you will use to upgrade them. I must admit I enjoy throwing books at students! The game play is smooth and the academic theme is very well done in the game. So if you enjoy tower defense type games and want to give students a hard time, give Ivory Tower Defense a shot.
