Take On Jeopardy! Champ Ken Jennings in Simulated Head-to-Head Trivia Battles
SEATTLE, WA – March 14, 2013 – FilmWise, LLC and OtherWise Games, LLC have teamed up with trivia wunderkind and author Ken Jennings for their new iOS game Trivia Death Match with Ken Jennings. In the game, players will take on the 74-time Jeopardy! champion in simulated real-time challenges to see if they can out-trivia the trivia expert!
How does it work? 1,000 trivia questions were written and grouped into 20-question quizzes spanning a wide variety of subjects. Ken was taken to a secret “testing facility,” where he was given a special version of the app which would record all of his times and scores for every question. Hours later, Ken finished the final quiz and handed over the device, which now contained all of the essential data.
This data was plugged into the final version of the app, which creates the opportunity to simulate real-time head-to-head Trivia Death Matches. As players engage in battle, they will see their avatar answering questions along with Ken, and they can track their progress and Ken’s progress with separate columns of skulls which light up each time a question is answered.
In addition to battling with Ken, players can see how they stack up against their friends by logging into their Facebook account. Players will be able to see all of their friends’ avatars and scores for each quiz, so they will know how they fare against each other as well as against Ken. Let the trash talking begin!
