Do You Want to be Minion of the Year?!
I’d like to start off by saying that I’m a huge fan of the Despicable Me movies and this game made me feel as though I was part of the films! In Despicable: Minion Rush you assume the role of one of the many lovable minions. Your goal is to become the greatest of them all, you’ll want to start small with an employee of the month award and work your way up to employee of the year.
The game plays very similar to the Temple Run series. When the game begins your minion is off to the races, chasing bananas on the way. There will be multiple obstacles getting in your way to employee of the week/year greatness; these include laser-like walls and chunky missiles. The controls are pretty easy to get use to the main controls are swipe left and right or up and down based on the obstacle in your way. (swipe down to slide under a laser wall).
What I specially love is the full blown Despicable Me theme; throughout the game you’ll experience Gru’s layer and residential home as well as other the movie’s memorable locations. The camera angles change on occasion and add for some non redundant game play. The game graphics are excellent and smooth throughout the game as well as the music selection.
Gru’s loyal, yellow, gibberish-speaking Minions are ready for their toughest challenge in Despicable Me: Minion Rush. Play as a Minion and compete with others in hilarious, fast-paced challenges in order to impress your boss, (former?) super-villain Gru! Jump, fly, dodge obstacles, collect bananas, be mischievous, and defeat villains to earn the title of Minion of the Year!
