Save humanity by finding new planets to colonize, quickly.
It is 2119 and the Earth is gone. Five officers are tasked in finding a new home in the galaxy before they run out of resources. Your job is to help them. Shifts from Threadbare Games is an easy to pick up and play strategy game but a difficult one to win.
Shifts is a turn based game where you need to assign your crew members to different shifts to help keep the ship moving and exploring. After you assign your crew, you will then move the ship to the nearby planets to explore. You need to find 4 planets to colonize to win. Now as you explore, you use up the ship’s power and integrity. You will need to keep an eye on them to make sure they do not get to zero. You also need to keep an eye on the ARKS. So on each turn you have a decision to make; take care of the ship, explore planets, or deal with crises on the ship.
On top of this, the game comes in three difficulty settings so you can really challenge yourself.
I figured out how to play the game pretty quickly but it took me a few games before I actually won (on the casual setting). This game is well worth the price since every game is different and will test your ability on being captain. The graphics and music are top notch and I look forward to seeing what other games Threadbare Games will be bringing us in the future.
