Ski Park HD: Create Your Own Mountain Resort from RagCat Games is a building game where you are tasked in creating a successful ski resort. Bring on the snow bunnies!
Ski Park is a free game with in-app purchases to help you along (if wanted). The game is available for both Android and iOS devices. I tested the game out on my iPad mini. If you enjoy building games that keep you busy, then this is the game for you. Because they is a lot going on with the game and on the screen, I think this game could give folks some problems on a small screen.
As I mentioned before, the goal is to build up your resort, so you get more guests, and thus more money! When you first start the game, it will walk you through the basics, but if you have done any building games you will get the hang of it very quickly. As with most building games, you can play the game without making any real purchases but if you need something or want to speed up the process, you can purchase additional snowflakes or in game coins. So far I have not had to.
In the game when you build say a florist shop or hotel, you will need to hire the appropriate staff for that building. You can use snowflakes to purchase them or collect the various items needed to make an exchange for that person by doing jobs in the resort. I have played other games that had this aspect but they seemed to make it hard to collect the items so you almost had to purchase (with real money) the staff. So far, I have been able to collect the items I needed.
So in addition to building, you will need to upgrade buildings, collect rent, deal with infrastructure, power, and environmental factors. There will be an almost endless number of tasks you will need to do but that is fine as they will help you grow your resort. Each building provides you will with task that earn you with coins and experience.
You can play the gone offline but to add some extra fun to it, you can connect the game to your Facebook account so you can find friends to play with and ask for help along the way. The game also has weekly tournaments you can participate in. The final note to make about the game is the hidden object aspect of. If you click on the binoculars icon, you will see what you need to find in the game: deer, vikings, waiters, woodpeckers, and more. The items are in clear site you just need to find them, sort of like Where’s Waldo? Pinch to zoom is key for this part of the game!
Overall this is an enjoyable building game. There is a ton going on and a ton to do in the game. The game keeps you busy and having a variety of different things like finding objects, connecting with friends, weekly tournaments, all make it a fun gaming experience. I played the game on my iPad and the graphics and menu interface worked well. So if you want to go play in the snow and try to make some cold cash, download Ski Park HD.
