Defend the Himalayas from mountain climbing monsters by tossing snowballs, raining icicles onto their heads or blowing a powerful breeze of cool air to force them off the mountain.
App Name: Yeti On Furry
Developer: Advanced Mobile Applications (AMA)
Market: Google Play
Cost: $1.99 USD
In this tower-defense game, you are a large yeti whose job it is to protect your mountain from a cavalcade of climbers who are trying to knock you off of your icy throne. Your only means of defending your territory are by throwing snowballs, blowing powerful gusts of wind and initiating torrential stalactite rainfalls to knock them off the mountain. Each climber has special abilities and various means of transport to get to you faster and will only get stronger as time goes by; so play carefully and wisely. You will also be equipped with special super powers including Yeti Sneeze, which freezes all climbers, and Yeti Musical, which destroys all climbers with power, musical sound waves.
This app is filled with endless missions and objectives to help you earn additional coins and increase your multipliers to boost your score. As you continue to play the game, you will earn more coins to increase the effectiveness of your weapons, purchase more super powers and more lives in case you fall short in a game. You can check on your progress at any time in the statistics section where you can tabs on your performance including the total number of games played, highest score and total climbers defeated.
Upon my first time playing Yeti On Furry, this game instantly reminded me of Donkey Kong with the player’s role reversed. This game will have you immediately hooked with excellent 3D animation graphics, simple touch-screen controls, infinite stages and addicting gameplay. This game will test your strategy and quick reflexes and will prove to be a challenge with the level of difficulty increasing every 30 seconds. What impressed me the most about this game is it has multiple qualities one would find in playing a classic arcade game.
Some the qualities include the non-stop waves of enemies coming at you in each additional level, the brief breaks in between stages, the inability to begin from the last stage you died in once your game ends and a dialogue box asking if you want to continue for a price. Because it doesn’t have a set number of levels, you can keep upgrading and playing without getting tiresome of the limitations in gameplay. There is nothing worse than completely losing interest in a video game because you have beaten the story mode.
Yeti On Furry is definitely worth the download and only takes up 40MB of space on your phone. Internet connectivity is not needed to enjoy this game, but you can sync your Facebook account for your chance to earn bonus coins.
