Numfeud is a Scrabble type game with a huge emphasis on strategy.
If you love Scrabble or Okey and are addicted to numbers Numfeud is just the thing you’ve been waiting for. Numfeud is a multiplayer game in which the goal is to connect numbers faster than your opponent. Numfeud has a variety of possible combinations which add strategy and creativity to the game play. There are multiple paths to victory but this is not a slash your way through it kind of game.
It requires numerical strategy. Combinations include: minimum 3 tiles in a combination in same color and in numeric order, minimum 3 and maximum 4 tiles with the same number but in different colors, combinations in need to be in the same color and combinations should always be either horizontal or vertical so now connect four style wins here. A nice added touch it the ability to move one number to another set that you find after the fact.
The multiplayer aspect of the game is great. When you first set up an account it asks you to choose your nationality and then you wage war against others from around the world. This style reminds me of my old zone.com days. I played well over 15 games and it felt good beating someone from another country but it stung to lose. If you like to trash talk or just make fun conversation, you’ll be happy to hear that Numfeud has a built in chat system in which you can communicate with your opponent.
If you are just an unstoppable force in this game I’d recommended you take advantage of the multiple games session feature in which you can play, and hopefully defeat, multiple players at once. The replay value is amazing. There was not a single time I played that I did not have to completely change my strategy. You can play against up to 50 players at once. There is also a in game add on for $2.99 which removes the adds.
In conclusion, Numfeud is similar to Scrabble but adds a nice twist and makes for a much more strategic game. This is a game everyone with an iOS device should try.
