Insignia Games releases Lunata Rescue platformer for iOS. In this platform game, the player helps a charming treehopper to save its babies captured by insect enemies. Five unique maps and dozens of hand-made levels coupled with beautiful graphics and rewarding exploration are in charge for captivating gameplay.
Platform game genre is a players´ all-time choice since 80´s. It seems gamers will never get tired of jumping, running and striking through left-to-right platform landscapes. Lunata Rescue, while being a classic representative of the genre, adds much to traditional concepts.
The player controls a little treehopper questing the surroundings for the lost babies. Each level encourages players to explore environment collecting bonuses, evading enemies and trying to rescue each and every lost baby and finally face the big boss of the game, the evil ant queen Donatella. Each of five available maps are 100% hand-drawn, no tilemaps are used. And unlike many platform games, in Lunata Rescue the whole level design is not linear, meaning the player doesn´t just move from left to right, but scouts the environment in all directions instead.
Beautiful cartoon style shows familiar things from bug´s perspective: tree leaves, grass and even bigger animals are just platforms to reach other areas of the level. Five game modes expect the player to combine his skills with abilities and upgrades obtained through the game to beat all challenges and collect achievements.
“Our first project took two years of production, and has several unique elements, including a lot of exclusive characters”, says Kleber Seixas, the CEO of Insignia Games. “The game was designed using the Unity 3D engine, and we decided to invest in a console-quality game, but available for mobile platforms”.
Pricing and availability: The game price is $0.99. The game is compatible with all devices supporting iOS 5 or higher. It is specially optimized for iPhone 5.
