Guide four brave warriors through a maze of obstacles and opposing evil forces in a post-apocalyptic medieval time period to save humanity from being completely obliterated.
Heroes of Steel is a top-down RPG where you must guide four prisoners who come from all walks of life through a series of trials and tribulations. The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic medieval setting, seventy-one days after the world has ended. The prologue introduces our four heroes: Kyera, a holy Cleric for the All-Father; Tamilian, The Thief’s Talents; Karjtan the Wizard and Vraes the Outlander’s Talents, all whom have been locked behind bars in a castle prison for various reasons — some under false pretenses. Your ultimate goal is to protect mankind and to save humanity by fighting against sinister, magical forces and race who has nefarious plans to eliminate the remaining members of the human race.
This game features five difficulty levels from easy (filled with easily winnable battles accompanied with big rewards and you can’t be defeated permanently) to “nightmare” (filled with pitched and extremely difficult battles with slim rewards for your effort and the possibility that you can be defeated permanently). As you delve deeper into the storyline, more options will be available to you to make upgrades to your characters’ attributes, skills and talents.
This is another interesting RPG game that is created for experienced RPG gamers as well as users who enjoy epic and board game fantasy games. Heroes of Steel will put you right in the middle of the action with its creative narrative shown in the “cut scenes” dialogue and the character depth. Each individual brings a different and unique dynamic to the game, which enhances the overall game experience making it more unpredictable and opens up more possibilities to take on your opponents. Like on many adventure games, each of the four protagonists in Heroes of Steel have a backstory as to how they have arrived to where they are in their life and where they are in their current situation within the story. Each character’s backstory will be revealed as you continue to play the game.
The one improvement that could be made to the game is if a story mode were made for all four heroes, showing the storyline from their perspective, similar to how Sonic Heroes arranged its overall plot structure. Other than that, Heroes of Steel is a good and engaging strategy game. Heroes of Steel is available to download for free in the Google Play store.
