Find the hidden words as fast as you can in this nicely created word search app for iOS
One of the few words games that I have consistently played or have done over the years has been word searches. I remember going on family trips as a kid and doing word searches to pass the time. Heck, my kids are doing that now.
The advent of mobile devices, doing word searches is even more convenient and fun. I recently got to test Word Search Gold from Devarai. Overall I really enjoy the app and can definitely recommend it.
There is a free version of the game, with ads, but I did not find them very annoying. The game works well on both small and large screens. The game has a lot of nice features to it, just adding to the enjoyment of the game. The key features of the game are:
- Difficulty: there are 3 options
- Word Lists: there are 6 different sets
- Language: there are 5 different languages you can play in
- Theme: there are 7 different themes
- Timer: can turn on/off
The game is very straight forward. Words can be hidden forward, backward, and diagonally. Your job is to look for the list of words and see how fast you can do it. If you get stuck there is a hint button. You can also pause the game if needed and you can see your high scores.
What else can I say? The game works and is fun to play. For the little ones and some of us older ones, the game might work better on the larger screen since you cannot change the letter size. So if you want some word search fun on the go, give this neat app a spin.
