Lovely Rentals is an app that is geared toward helping users search for affordable rental property and apartment complexes from all across the United States. Once you install the app, you can create a free account and log in with your Facebook information and begin searching for rental listings. For faster and more efficient searches, you can input your qualifications and personal information (not including super-sensitive information including social security number, bank account number or check routing number) to narrow down and zero-in on your options.
Save your favorite listings and enable listing alert notifications to be sent to you phone based on the information you insert in the create alert tab such as locality based on City, Address, or ZIP code, price range, number of bedrooms, pets and keywords. You can also search for listings on the app’s interactive map, which is similar the default map used in Google Maps. The map will display the number of rental listings located within each city along with their specific location. It will also automatically zoom-in on your location based on your filter search settings to save time.
Once you have found your listing, the app will provide you with vital logistics including the address, quoted price per month, pictures of the property/complex and rooms, email and phone contacts, amenities and a general description of the property. Each listing also features a Share button for users to send listings across a variety of social media platforms and a Report button for users to report listings that may be incorrect, malicious, inappropriate and/or misleading.
The first thought that popped into my mind when I first explored this app was when my friends and I would often discuss moving from out of a dormitory and into an apartment complex when I was in college a few years ago. I specifically brought up that point to segue into whom this app would best serve: college students and recent graduates. With Lovely Rentals’ streamlined, smooth-running user interface, renter card feature to input your qualifications to allow landlords to find renters like you and ability to set alerts for listings you might be strongly considering, this is the ideal app for college students and for anyone else who is thinking about moving, whether it’s across town or across the nation. One of the few improvements that need to be made to app is if it featured customer reviews and user uploaded photos. I have seen this specific attribute on many apartment/rental search engine websites and it would be a great addition to the Lovely Rentals mobile app.
Overall, Lovely Rentals is an app worth downloading and adding to your smartphone menu if you are seriously considering looking for rental home or apartment complex to temporarily reside in. The app is free to download and is only available for Android Devices.
