Over the next week or so, I am planning on covering a whole pile of apps that I have tested but have not gotten around to reviewing. All are great apps, some are free, some cost a few dollars but they are worth the time.
1. Novae
Novae is a different puzzle game where the object is to create groups of colors by dropping the different color dots in the 2 grey channels which form the shape of a cross on the screen. The color dots will spiral inward, moving around as new dots are added. You can add dots from four different locations. The key is to try and figure out where you should place the dots so you can clear the screen. The game shows you what the next color will be. The game is over when they are no other groupings possible. Also, as you create groups, your energy goes up, when you reach the max energy, you progress to the next level.
Overall the game is fun but challenging. It will probably take you a few tries before you get the hang of it. The game has a beautiful, simple design and works great on the iTouch 5. The game also has an achievement screen- for best score, level, games played, etc and Game Center achievements.
Check it out on iTunes or the developer’s website for more details.
2. Plupons
Plupons is an enjoyable matching game where you need to match 3 colors in a row; you do this by moving the color squares from one row to another. To do well you need to clear each level as quickly and efficiently as possible. Now some levels you will only have so many moves, so you will need to do some planning. For each level you can earn up to three stars and you will need to play the levels in order. The game has three areas: summer, desert, and winter, with more coming.
In the game you can easily customize your plupalian, with a whole variety of items. As the game stands now, there a good number of levels to play so you will definitely be busy for while. The Game Center is connected to the game for achievements. My kids really enjoyed this game and I too found it a nice time waster.
Check out the game on iTunes or the developer’s website.
