Have fun while testing your knowledge of countries, flags, and capitals.
Geo World Deluxe is a great game and learning tool all at the same time. This universal game will help anyone learn and challenge themselves on their geography knowledge.
The game has a ton of options in it. You can choose which language to play in, play background music, show or not show the correct answer, and more. Now the game actually has seven games in it:
- Fall-n-catch-the game will name various countries and you will need to choose which (from the following outlines) is that country
- Exploration-you can use this to review the names and flags of the region you want to study
- Places-you will be given a photography of a location and you will need to click on the country it is located in
- Capitals-you need to choose the correct captial for the country given
- Neighbours– you will need to chose the country which is the common neighbor of the 4 counties listed
- Shapes-as the country outline (with its flag) falls down the screen, you will need to determine its name from the four given.
- Locations-here you will given a country and you need to find it on the map.
Note: some of the games will require Internet access.
For all of the games, you will be timed and you earn stars to show how well you did. You can stop any game at any time. In most of the games you will also be able to chose which location in the world you want to be quizzed on, such as North America, Africa, etc. Finally you can determine the difficuly settings.
Overall I found this game fun and challenging. This will really make you think. The game will grade you on what you are currently playing but there is no overall score or reward system. This is a great game for students who need to learn their world geography and want to have some fun at the same time. So how well do you know your geography?
