Test your knowledge of famous phrases with Cryptoquips
Do you enjoy puzzles? Do you like the game show Wheel of Fortune? Well then you need to give the iOS puzzle game Cryptoquips a try. I have to say that my kids love the game and have played a ton of levels before I even got a chance to try it!
The object of the game is to figure out the phrase. Pretty simple right? Well not exactly.
To play you will need coins. You get coins by beating levels or purchasing them in the store. If you do well in the game you probably can go far without having to purchase them. The game is broken up into categories and then difficulty settings, from easy to expert. You can play in order or pick a random level. You will also be playing against the clock! Yeah no pressure here!
If you get stuck, you can use power-ups to help out, they cost coins to use though. The game is a free download and comes with 750 levels. In the game you can set the number of starting hints, check out your achievements, the leaderboards, etc.
The game is very straight forward and I enjoyed playing. For me though the in game keyboard was a bit small on my iPod Touch, it definitely would work well on an iPad. The graphics and colors are ok, a bit dark but not terrible.
If you enjoy solving puzzles, specifically famous phrases then Cryptoquips is right up your alley. The game was recently updated and hopefully will continue to be so that we can solve those puzzles.
