Help Sherlock in the case of The Red Headed League, in this beautifully designed app for iOS from HAAB Entertainment
With shows like Sherlock and Elementary, Sherlock Holmes and his stories are becoming more and more popular. I personally enjoy all the stories and am always open to exploring more in the world of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. Today I look at the new app from HAAB Entertainment, Sherlock: Interactive Adventure, which takes on the story The Red Headed League by Arthur Conan Doyle.
This universal app is free but you will need to make a one time in-app purchase to unlock all 30 chapters of the story. From what I have seen so far, if you love mysteries, Sherlock Holmes, and beautifully done apps, you will want to pay the full story!
Where to start on this app? In some ways words cannot do it justice. You really have to experience the game. As you turn each page you will be immediately thrust into Victorian England. You will be there with Sherlock Holmes and be a part of the story.
Each chapter starts with a short narrative to move the story along. Then it is your turn to explore the beautifully done 3D world created in the app. You will explore the area and look for clues or items of interest. As you find items, they will be placed into the Collection, which you can access at any time in the game. There is also a Dossier of key characters and finally a beautifully drawn map of London showing you where you are and where you might need to go.
The app layout is very nicely done and very intuitive. The developers have done a great job maximizing the game layout and creating an appropriate theme around the story. This is a game for those you love hidden object and puzzles games. As you move around your surroundings, you can pinch to zoom to focus in on a object and click on it to put it in the collection. If you need help you can turn on hints.
The only negative about the game is that the story must come to an end. I really enjoyed just soaking up the game and the incredible environment the developers created. I am not going to tell you more, you need to go and try the game for yourself. If you are like most folks that have played the game, you will come away wanting more. Good luck helping Holmes!
