One of the first games I played on my iTouch5 was The Tribez. The game has been around a long time and is available for both Android and iOS , and quite fun. Your job is to help the natives build up their village by exploring, expanding, fulfilling quests, and so on. I cannot remember what level I ended up on but it is a game that I played a little every day.
Well the folks behind The Tribez have put out part 2 (if you want to call it that) called The Tribez and Castez. Well in this game the professor accidentally ends up in Medieval Times and he meets up with Prince Eric. Prince Eric asks the Professor, Aurora and you to help rebuild his kingdom and protect it from the evil plans of various villains.
The game is setup pretty much like The Tribez. You will need to complete quests, explore new areas, expand the kingdom. The game is free but there are lots of in-app purchases you can make to help you move forward. The graphics are great and the screen layout works well. Game Insight has done a very good job updating the interface. I like playing these types of games on larger screen, thus I have played it on my iPad mini. Going to try it out on my phone next.
There is a lot going on in the game so the philosophy of playing a little every day or a few times a day is probably pretty good. Now for me there a few negatives to the game. I really wish there were not but…
- No real cross platform ability–if you play on your iPad and then on your Android phone or tablet, even though you log into the Game Insight center, the games do not sync, thus two different games
- Seems to take a lot longer to level up- expanding buildings etc cost quite a bit early on in the game and the time involved in many of the items seems very long.
I have been playing the game for a while now but am still sorta confused and have not really gotten into it as I did with The Tribez. I think I am going to wipe the game and start over. The game has a lot you need manage and maybe starting over will help me. Have you tried the game? Your thoughts?
Well in my effort to understand the game better, I check what other had to say online. Here are a few of the posts I found.
