If you have been with our site for a while, you might remember the game Helidroid 3D, which we reviewed a while back. Well today we are happy to present you Helidroid 3, a free remote control (RC) helicopter game for iPhone/iPad. It is always neat to see how developers are continuing to grow and expand their games.
As the title says, this is the third game in the series and definitely one of the best. The graphics are great and the game is just as fun, if not more than the first one. In this game, you can fly all around the house and its garden and swimming pool now, versus just one room.
The game is very straight forward and easy to play. The developer has put in some nice settings in the game such as:
- increase the frame rate
- left-handed mode
- mute the sound
Also now in the game you can choose between three sets of controls:
- Easy control – the classic on screen joystick
- Tilt control – you will need to tilt your device to maneuver
- Real control – which is like real rc-copter controls
After playing with all three of these, I think the Real Controls are the best. When I used these controls, I played better!
The game comes with 18 levels which must be played in order. For each level you can earn up to 3 stars, depending on how fast you complete it. The game tells you the times you need to make for each star rating. Each level has a different mission you will need to complete, such as flying through hopes, racing other copters, collecting water and putting out fires. Definitely a nice variety of missions to keep you interested.
This is a free game with ads presented in between the levels.
Overall this is a fun game and definitely challenging if you are not too coordinated like me! So pick up your remote control and see how well you might do in Helidroid 3.
