It is all about being in control. Wouldn’t you rather have options rather then being told what to do or how to do it? As a theme can used to customize the look and feel of your Android phone, Persist +Volume Control can be used to customize the sounds on your device. The app comes in two flavors, free supported by ads (located that the bottom of the screen) and the pro, which has no ads and homescreen widgets.
Until you try this app, you really do not know what your are missing. I thought I had pretty good control over the volume on my Samsung phone but this app opened my eyes to the possibilties.
The app is pretty simple to use. When you first open the app you are presented with the 7 main areas: alarm, media, ringer, notifications, system, voice, and bluetooth (did not know you could modify it). To change any of these you simply just slide the bar left and right. The app will also indicate what percentage you are at. YOu can even lock each item so that it does not get accidently changed.
The app also has Presets, there are customized events that you can create. The app comes with Appoitment, Default, Night, and Silent already made for you. So for example you can use the Night preset, which will turn your volume down to say 40% from 10 pm to 6 am. When creating your own presets, there are a huge number of events you can set up, such as location or time schedule, volumes on all of the main systems. The app even has an icon you can use to represent your preset.
After you have gone through and set things up, you can easily access your volume control via a homescreen widget or from the volume bar the app installs in the menu bar.
The app works great and definitely is a plus to allow users to control the differnt volume settings. The neat aspect of this app is the presets you can create and activate when needed. One of great things about the Android OS is the flexibility and control users can have over their device. Persist + Volume Control is definitely a very useful app to have.
