An easy way to keep track of your weekly expenses on the go.
Something most everyone needs to do is keep track of where your money goes. I learned this the hard way. When I first started graduate school, years ago, I thought I knew my spending habits but after the first semester I realized I had blown through most of my savings. It was a wake up call.
Weekly Budget from Cheolseung Jeon is a neat app I wish I had back then. With this app, you can easily keep track of your expenses, one week at a time.
The app provides users with a nice set of customization:
- Day of week to begin on
- Different currencies
- Ability to rollover left over money
- Categories for spending
- Export data
The app starts off with you setting your weekly budget (how much can you spend). As you make purchases, you record them in the app under the appropriate category. As you do this, your overall budget amount changes. The app also has a nice aspect that is shows your overall total budget as a notification on the app icon on the menu.In addition to expenses, you can of course add income to help offset your purchases or bills. The app will keep track of the number of days left in your budget.
After you have used the app for some time, you will have a history of your past weekly budgets. You can easily search and filter those for date, name, price, group. This is a great feature for those want to see patterns in their expenses.
The app is optimized for the iPhone and iPod and would be a great resources for college students who have do not have a lot of income but plenty of expenses. This is a very easy to use app and a great way to keep up with expenses will on the run.
The app is only $0.99 USD and would be a great first expense! Seriously if you need help in keeping track of expenses and want an easy to use, simple format, then Weekly Budget is great. Now when you are ready you can also use Monthly Budget also from Jeon.
