I love puzzle games and I enjoy beautifully designed games. Well these two puzzle games satisfy both:
Monument Valley
The game is available for both Android and iOS devices. There are no words or written directions. Your job is to get your character out of each level. You will need to figure out how to move, rotate, swing the puzzle to get the desired path. This game reminds me of a M. C. Escher painting. This is a game hard to describe, you simply need to experience it. My daughter finished the game in one afternoon, so if there is any knock against it, is that it is short. Hopefully more levels will be coming out soon.
Back to Bed
This game is currently only available for iOS. Again thre directions are minimal but the game play is not. Bob is a sleep walker and you (playing as Subob) need to guide him back to bed without falling off the edge. Bob only turns clockwise and you can change his path with a green apple. The game has two Dream Selections: Rooftop Trouble and Harbour Hazards, each with a regular and nightmare mode. Within each dream you get quite a few chapters to play, so the game will keep you going for a while. The art work reminds me of a Salvador Dali painting. The game was recently updated to include an on screen joystick to help move your character. The game will make you think and quickly since Bob does not stop for anything once he starts walking.
Enjoy.
