Overall Score
A great camera app with lots of features.
I have looked at at a lot of camera apps and I must say that I was very impressed with KitCamera for iOS. If you enjoy photography, want options, and do not have a lot to spend, them you should invest the 99 cents for this app.
I love the icon. Once you get into the app you will find that it is very nicely done , the menu is well organized and laid out, you have lots of options and plenty of help is available if needed.
General Features:
- 16 lenses add vignette, tilt-shift, fisheye, kaleidoscope effects
- 51 film types add various vintage and black-and-white effects
- 40 frames will make your photos unique
- Real time exposure and white balance control
- Ability to shoot in Tiff format
If you need any assistance, there is a good help section, with screenshots, within the app, plus you can also head over to the developer’s website to find out more about the app and what it can do.
I am not going to cover every feature of the app but enough so if you are a serious photographer, you know what this app can do.
You can shoot standard photos and video with the app. No matter which you choose you will have such things as level, histogram, metadata, and grid option to help capture the best image. You will also be able to determine the image size, 4×3, 1×1, 16×9, 3×2. I played around with each of these and “wow” is all I could say.
Now if you want to be adventurous, you can use some of the other settings, such as horizon, timelaps, long shutter, night-snap, multi-exposure, and more. I like that the app has a timer on it so you can set it up and get in the picture.
As with many of the photo apps out there, you can play around with different types of filters, films, and even frames. You can preview them all before you take your picture. Finally the app allows you to share your photos to many of the popular cloud storage or social media outlets.
KitCamera is a very photography app that gives you lots of control over your picture. I am not sure if a casual photographer would worry about all of these settings but a professional definitely would appreciate them.
