Monsu is a fun, endless runner game built on a card collecting platform.
I am not exactly sure what Monsu is, but I do know I need to help him get his stolen treasure back.
Monsu is a cute, fun endless runner game that is also a collectible card game. In each level you will be given a goal to complete. Once you complete that goal, you can keep going until you finally die. Since it is a endless runner game, you can run, jump, and double jump. The controls are very straightforward and I found myself quickly getting into the game.
So where do the collectible cards come in? As you progress you will earn new cards. There are three types you can earn: Power ups, Weapons, and Mounts. Each card can be upgraded and that is something you will want to do. You can also purchase these cards with the in game currencies. If you need more, there are IAPs to help you out.
When you start a level you can equip up to 3 cards to help you within that level. These cards will provide you with valuable help and definitely add some variety to the game.
In addition to the cards, you can spend your in game currencies on various outfits for Monsu.
A few notes about the game:
- It does not appear you can repeat a level
- There are over 40 unique characters
- You can connect via Facebook to compete against your friends
- There are tournaments and various daily bonuses to try and achieve
Overall this is a very enjoyable game. The graphics and game play are well done and my kids and I found the game very entertaining. There is a lot of variety in the game via the card collecting aspect. This is a free game, so there is a slight push for money but you can have fun without spending anything.
