Emojis are the ideograms or smileys used in electronic messages and webpages. (Wikipedia)
If you are a heavy social media person, then you should already know this already. Are you getting tired of your current emojis? Looking for some new ones? Then take a look at Youji.
Youji is a new app from Innolu that allows you to create unlimited emoji from your camera or camera roll on you iPhone. Youji allows you to capture your own personal expressions, and experiences to share with the whole world.
The app is free and ad supported. There are a couple of IAPs that add some more functionality but you can do a lot with the basic app.
The app is very straightforward to use. Turn on the app, take photo, select your shape and then save your emoji. Once it is saved then you can share it via text, email, Twitter, and Facebook.
If you take a look at the examples from the app store screenshots, you can go through and create a collect of ready to use emojis for any occassion.
I would think this would be a great assest to teens who love to text and share how they feel at the moment. Also, Youji does add a
dash of originality or uniqueness to your emoji and text messages.
The app works well but I would love to see some additions or upgrades to it, such as
- additional shapes of the photo
- allow the user to draw or write on the images
- some color filtering
- anything to help make the emojis even more unique.
If you are needing to express how you feel in your messages, Youji could lend a hand.
