Martial Heroes is detailed and content rich game where you can create your own team of martial artists to rule the kingdom.
When you first download the game you will need to create a login, select a server, create a username, and then select your first fighter: Ren Yingin or Yue Lingshan.
After this initial setup, you will go through a tutorial. You can skip the tutorial but I went though it to see how it works. It plays a bit fast and if you are not familiar with this style of game, you could get a bit lost.
Overall there is a lot going on in the game; it works on a small screen, but the text can be a bit small.
What are the basics of the game? You will have a set of 6 heroes that you will send out on quests. You start with 2 and will unlock the 6th at level 20.
With each hero, there is armor and skills you can upgrade and strengthen over time to help them in their battles.
The game has the following areas: Story (vs the computer), PVP, Blood War, and Raid. I have not yet unlocked the last two. There are about 60 levels in the story line.
In addition to these area of play, there are daily log in rewards, daily quests, Wheel of Fortune ( a daily spin for gold), equipment, and a daily card (hero) draw, so you can get leveled up faster and get the equipment you might need.
This is a free game but there are IAPs for gold and other items you can use to progress faster. Within the game store, you can purchase: Heroes, Skills, and Equipment.
To play each battle, you simple setup your heroes and the game will conduct the turn based attacks. Whoever is left standing is the winner. This is ok but there is nothing you can do to help with the fight, thus I was a bit disappointed in this aspect of the game.
Martial Heroes is not a bad game-there is tons of content, plenty to do each day so you can progress over time, and is definitely a game for those that like building and optimizing a team vs doing the actual combat.
