In continuing my posts on digital collectible card games, today I am posting a summary of Hearthstone from Blizzard. This is a fantastic game that you can play on PC, iPad, and Android tablet. I have been told that a “phone” version will be coming out later this year.
In Hearthstone you have 9 decks, one for each type of hero and within each you have 30 cards. Your goal is create the best desk that will defeat your opponents. The more you play, the more experience and coins you will earn, so you can purchase new packs of cards. You can of course use real money too.
The game currently has 2 expansions: Curse of Naxxramas and Goblins vs Gnomes, while a third one, Blackrock Mountain, will be out next month.
I highly recommend this game. It is very fun and most game will take more than say 20 minutes. The key to do well is understand your decks/cards and their powers. I find I spend more time going through my decks than playing some times!
