The other day, we were at Best Buy and my son was purchasing a new monitor for the computer he just built. When we got to the check out, we had to wait a couple of minutes while he checked his bank account to make sure he had enough money. Well if he was using the app Budget Sense, he would have known instantly if he had enough. (If you are curious, he did.)
Keeping track of you money is critical these days and most folks are going to need to know at a moments notice. Budget Sense Free and Pro from NYQuist INDustries, Inc can help anyone easily keep track of their money from their iPhone.
Before I go any further, I need to say that this app or any budget related app, will be useless unless you take the time to properly use it. This means you will need to input your information in daily. The app is only as good as the data you give it.
Budget Sense is a beautifully designed budget app, that is very easy and intuitive to use. When you first start it up, there is a quick tutorial you can do to show you the ropes. The app is divided into three sections:
- Spend – all expenses and bill are recorded here
- Take in – all money you earn or collect is recorded here
- View – easy to view bar and pie charts of your expenses.
When recording your money, will be able to put in the amount, category, date, how you paid, who you paid or gave you money, and which budget category to use. This app gives you the ability to really keep up with your money. At first it might not seem so, but once you have entered a few receipts and deposits, you will be able to see the power of the app. Overall I am very impressed with the details.
Within the view section, you can see:
- Overview
- Budget summary
- Income list
- Expense list
- Bill list
- YTD breakdown
The app also has some in-app achievements to encourage you along the way!
Since this app is free, there is no risk in trying it out. If you looking for a powerful and detailed app to use to keep up with your hard earned money, then I recommend you try Budget Sense. I have reviewed a number of budget apps and this ones is really well done. If you need more information, check out the promotional video below.
Note: The Pro version does not have ads plus it has additional features such as a tip calculator. You can purchase it from iTunes.
