A fun, underwater city builder.
You are space explorer, coming back to earth to find it all under water- where did everyone go? who are these fish like people you meet? how will you survive? These are the questions you will need to work through the game Aquapolis from Candy Grill.
Aquapolis is a fun city builder, all under water, but you will not get your feet wet. 🙂
Overall the game has nice graphics, plays well, and is definitely for those that enjoy civ building type games. This is a game that will be playing over time. As with similar type games, you will assign tasks and need to wait for them to be done. The game has a notification system, so you will not miss anything.
Some general points to the game:
-plays in portrait mode
-has pinch to zoom
-can connect to Google Play
-can connect to Facebook to compete with and aid others online
-has daily login specials
-there are various quests you will need to complete
When you first start out, the game will give you plenty of guidance and direction. You start off with a few buildings-from there, it is up to you. The game plays similar to Tribez, where you will need to unlock new parcels of land to expand your city.
In Aquapolis, there are 4 types of building or items you can build:Â production, residential attractions, and decorations.
With all of the buildings, you will be able to and need to, upgrade them. There are also numerous technologies you will need to research based on your level.
A big question, most have with these types of games are in app purchases (IAPs). Yes there are IAPs. The game currency are coins and gems. You will earn them as you go along but you can also purchase them with IAPs. From experience in the game so far, you can survive with out, but if you want to speed things up, you can.
I like the game and overall enjoy city or civ builders. Being able to setup a city the way you like is fun. The game layout and interface is done well and does not take up a lot of the screen. There is a lot to do in the game and the daily login specials help give you the stuff you need to build up the city. The researching technologies is also a nice wrinkle to the game.
There really is not a lot more to say about the game. Aquapolis is another enjoyable city builder that will satisfy the builder in you.
