So what is Koosh? Koosh is a new social media app that allows you and your friends to create unique images and video for your events. With Koosh you can see the same event from multiple perspectives. Overall it is a neat idea and something more folks need to experience.
Koosh is a free app (with some ads) available for both Android and iOS users. I was curious where the term came from so I reached out to the Mark Griffiths from Koosh. Here is his reply: “Well it is a long story. A few years ago, I was watching Gerry McGuire and there is a point in the film where one off the actors answered the telephone “this is Kush” at that point in time I thought “very cool name, I’ll use that one day”. Well there is a slight difference in the spelling/pronunciation but that’s basically the story.”
Koosh is very easy to you. When you first get in, you will need to create an account. Once that is done, then it is time to get creative. You could use make a Koosh by yourself but the app is really meant to be used by you and your friends.
There are two different types of Koosh: image or video. When you create a Koosh you will make it public or private and put it in a category. For a video Koosh, you will able to determine the length too. Next you will invite friends to participate in its creation. Friends will get an invite, via the app to participate in the Koosh. When they accept, they will be able to add their image or video. You the owner, will get notification when they accept and add content. Once content is added, you will be able to edit, add transitions, and audio to the Koosh.
In addition to creating a Koosh, you can see what others around the world have made. To see public Kooshs, click the monitor button in the bottom menu bar. Here you can search by category or simply scroll through the ones listed. For each Koosh, you can like, comment, and share them on Facebook or Twitter.

Overall Koosh is a neat app and great for creating memories with your friends. Say you and your buddies go to a concert, when you get back you can create a Koosh of the event and share it with the world. With Koosh, there are a lot of different things you can do with it. So get some friends together, download the free app, and make some memories.
