Ok, today is a quick post/rank on Christmas music.
This time of the year is one of my favorites but why two plus weeks before Thanksgiving are radio stations playing Christmas music already? It is bad enough that Christmas decorations and sale items start appearing on the shelves after Halloween! I know stores are looking to extend the holiday and increase sales but I think it is a bit much.
As a kid growing up, once Thanksgiving was done, then you began thinking about Christmas. I would anxiously await the Sears catalog to arrive so I could begin my shopping list. There was nothing like Black Friday or Cyber Monday when I was a kid. Sorta miss those days-too much rushing around and materialism going on today. Watching those videos of folks shopping (fighting) in Walmart on Black Friday really makes you wonder.
So what do you think? Is it too early for Christmas music on the radio?
Since we are talking about Christmas music, this song by Johnny Mathis is definitely in my top 5. Enjoy the Christmas season, it will be here before you know it. 🙂
