If you enjoy puzzle games and are good at math, then Number Chef from Roope Rainisto, is your game.
This free game is available for both Android and iOS devices. You can upgrade to Premium via two different IAPs, one to allow undos and one to unlock all episodes.
The premise of the game is simple. You need to get the numbers requested by the chef – you do this by sliding the numbered blocks on top of one another to add or subtract the numbers. This is the trick. Drag any number over of an odd number and it adds. Drag any number over an even number and it subtracts.
The game is not timed so you can take your time and think about your moves. You will not get very far by simply sliding numbered blocks around. Trust me you won’t 🙂
The game comes with eleven episodes. Each has fifteen levels in it. You must complete twelve levels to open the next episode. The episodes must be played in order initially. So this game has plenty of game and will keep you occupied for quite a while.
This is a great game for those who like to think. I found myself trying to remember the simple rules of the game and planing how I would move the blocks. I definitely was doing many levels numerous times to complete.
The graphics and game layout are great. It only plays in portrait mode (FYI). I like this game a lot because you have to think and you do not need to race against the clock. I am not sure if the developer is planning on more episodes but it would cool if they were.
