Crossy Road
Make your way through a maze of hedges made of blocks and approach a busy road filled with block-shaped cars driving by. Tap the screen to hop forward and swipe the screen to move sideways. Tap quickly to cross the road without getting hit by a car or truck. There are lanes of water with moving boards which you have to jump onto to make it safely across. This is a fun game to play.

Shooty Skies – Arcade Flyer
In this game, you play as an aircraft made of blocks with the face of an animal that shoots at approaching aerial targets shaped like robots, TVs, and radios. Draw on the screen in various directions to fire at the targets and move at the same time. It’s challenging to stay alive for more than a minute. See how long you can stay in the air without getting blown up.

Crossy Heroes
In Crossy Heroes, you play as a lego man with a bow and arrow. Fire in any direction using the on-screen arrow-firing-directional-pad. Move forward by tapping the screen and move right or left by swiping the screen. Fire at other lego men standing in your way. There are cops that fire back. There are lanes of water with floating boards that you have to jump onto to cross. Plus, there are stores, roads, and other interesting places to hop through in this top-down perspective game.

Hovercraft – Build, Fly, Retry
Hovercraft is a driving game that takes place on a highway with block vehicles that hover as they travel. The controls are very sensitive. One tap will move the hovercraft a few inches right or left. That’s enough to send it into the guard rail. This is also a challenging aspect of the controls when trying to weave into and out of traffic. If you aren’t careful, you will crash into other vehicles. The sequence involving the breakup of the lego hovercraft after crashing is one of the cool parts of the game.

Block Warfare Medieval (Free)
This is a first-person game that takes place in a castle during the Middle Ages. You are armed with a sword. The on-screen controls are barely visible so it’s not easy fighting the guards. Plus, everything is made of blocks. There’s a button for striking with the sword on the lower right side of the screen. It’s a poorly designed game that is impossible to play, but that’s what makes it challenging. One thing to remember is how to turn around. Swipe the screen to turn around.

The Best Game Is…
Crossy Heroes. This block game has all the fun aspects of Crossy Roads, plus a variety of places to play in, and the main character has a weapon that fires and destroys the enemy. It has everything you would want in a block game.
