Table tennis is like ping pong, except in ping pong, the ball must hit the server’s side of the court before it crosses the net. Now you know the difference between the two. The following list features several table tennis games that play like ping pong. All of them are challenging to play.
Table Tennis
Table Tennis has dumb music and unnecessary character customizations, but it is a well-designed game with accurate touchscreen interactions. Select the hair, skin, eye, shirt, and pant color of the tennis player. You can add your name and pick the country you represent. There’s a career mode and a multiplayer mode. To play a match, swipe the screen when the ball is hit to you. You can also start the match by serving. The direction of the swipe will determine where the ball goes. You can add backspin during a point.
There’s a tutorial which helps prepare you for real matches, and there’s training to improve your skills; both will help you win matches. In the multiplayer mode, you can play against players from around the world.

Virtual Table Tennis
This table tennis game is virtually impossible to play, but it does have a soothing sound of a bouncing ball with each miss hit. It appears the paddle is linked to constant contact with the touchscreen. Press the screen with your thumb and drag it side to side and up and down to become familiar with the gameplay mechanics. When you are serving, wait until the ball is no longer dimmed. Once the ball becomes visible, hit it with the paddle by dragging your thumb through the ball.
Constantly dragging your thumb diagonally across the screen helps during fast paced matches. There’s an online multiplayer mode, a Bluetooth mode, and a Google Play mode. The Bluetooth mode lets you play with other people in the room that have a smartphone, and the Google Play mode lets you play with players online that have signed into Google Play Games.

Pro Arena Table Tennis LITE
In this game, most of the action is controlled by the programming. All you have to do is select the type of shot to hit and maybe the direction of the shot. There’s an on-screen directional pad and buttons for shot selection. There’s a chop button, a defend button, and a top spin button. While the programming is hitting shots, focus on the highlighted sections of the court and press the directional pad to focus the next hit to that location.
If the highlighted section is near the net, try the chop shot. Only the solo and duo training modes are available in the LITE version of this game.

Ping Pong Classic: Table Tennis
Here’s a black and white, old-school game that is worth checking out. Move the paddle up and down to make contact with the ping pong. You will be playing against a computer player. It’s actually very hard to make contact with an incoming ping pong. You’ll be lucky to score one point in this game. There is a two-player mode which lets another player use the other half of the screen to play against you.

Ping Pong by Miniclip
This game has a quirky theme, which makes the experience of playing more enjoyable. The goal is to bounce a ping pong on a paddle while walking. Doesn’t sound that interesting, but it is challenging. Try to outscore yourself each time you play. Use the tilt functionality of the phone to move the paddle underneath the ball for each hit.
