The key to small businesses is the contacts they make. Meeting and connecting with others is critical to help maintain and grow their business. One of the main ways businesses connect is via the business card. Yes the standard, printed business card still exists but the demand for digital business cards is growing.
In today’s post, I am looking at Push Cardz, a free app for both Android and iOS phones that allows users to create, store, and share digital business cards. There are a quite a few apps and services out there right now that do this, so let me know which you have tried or currently use.
The Push Cardz app is built to be simple and straight to the point. There is no complicated interface, no ads to have you purchase something more.
When you first start, there is a brief tutorial to go through. When you are ready you will make your first card. To do this you will need an email address. This is the only way the app will verify a contact.
When making digital business card, you can include all of your key contact information. You can link to Facebook, Twitter, websites, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.
The app has three main settings:
add cards to your contacts
update them automatically
push updates to cards
If you are going to use Push Cardz are your primary business card solution, then this settings are pretty straightforward. The key though is that your business contacts will need to be using this app too, to receive the updates.
When you receive a business card via the app, you can geo stamp and time stamp them. You can also organize them and find them using the alphabetized Rolodex.
Do you have multiple businesses or titles? You can create multiple cards, you just need an unique email for each one.
Though not in the app, there is special options available for corporate users. From the developer’s website: “Corporate users can benefit from their identifiable company logo being used in the app; the uniformity of having all of the same social media shared on each and every card; and the security of knowing that the data fields cannot be changed.”
Check out their website, if this is something that might interest your company.
So do you use digital business cards? It just seems makes sense these days to do it. Push Cardz is one option out there to help you get rid of those old paper cards.
