Are you looking to meet new people? Today I am looking at a new iOS app called ZYN. Well, there are a lot of dating related apps, so I decided to reach out the developer of ZYN and get some more details on this app.
Q. What is your app and what platforms does it run on?
A. he ZYN app is a dating app that is centered around blind dating and speed dating. Users have 15 minutes to communicate with one another to get to know the real person behind a blank avatar and then when the time is up and you feel comfortable enough to take it to the next level and see who it is that you had a great time connecting with, you ZYN! The blank avatar flips and you see who that other person is! We want you to focus on personalities rather than looks and body features. No more swiping right or left. The app right now only runs on iOS and we are working hard everyday to get it working on all other platforms as well.
Q. Why did you make this app?
A. My Co-founder and I made this app because we were tired of everyone meeting others based on appearances. We wanted everyone to have the chance to meet new and exciting people based off of values and personalities. Everyone has something unique about them and are perfect in their own way and we wanted to make an app that showed other users what those perfections are.
Q. There are a lot of dating apps out there, how does your app fare against them?
A, Our competition is other dating apps such as Tinder, Match.com, Bumble and other big name dating companies. What makes our app compete with them is that they are all very similar with one another in the fact of seeing the person right away instead of getting to know them better first. We are changing the game of dating with personal values first, appearances second.
Q. Can you give me a quick walk through?
A. You set up an account with your name and email/password. Add in your city, state, and country. Then, add interests that you like that users can find and connect with and then you’re all signed up! Once logged in, you can see all the users that are on and communicate with the ones that you like.
Q. Does the service cost anything?
A. Our app is free to download and you can upgrade at anytime if you don’t want to see ads and if you want unlimited ZYN’s with other users.
Q. I assume you need to create an account- how secure is the system?
A. Our app and software is very secured and our users have nothing to worry about when it comes to privacy.
Q. How many users do you currently have?
A. We currently have 400+ users and we hope to hit the thousand mark in the next couple of months.
Q. What future plans do you have?
A. Our future plans are simple. We want everyone to ZYN with one another. We want to be the official face of the dating world. When people think of dating sites and apps we want them to think of ZYN!
